What will be the school's vision and values be?
While the Trust has established a vision and values for the school, we intend to refine these with our foundational staff, students and families once the school is operational.
When will the school be open?
We will be open for instruction in February 2025. See our timeline for more detail.
When will we need to enrol?
We are currently taking enrolment applications for 2025 and no-obligation expressions of interest for 2026 and beyond.
How many students will be in each class?
We will have a maximum ratio of 20 students to 1 teacher.
Where will the school be located?
Mangawhai Hills College is located on lower Tara Road, Mangawhai, within the Mangawhai Hills Development.
What will it cost?
Tuition fees for 2025 are $16,000 per annum ($4,000 per term) incl. GST. Annual tuition fees are payable a term in advance and are non-refundable.
What year levels will be taught?
In 2025, we will open to Year 7-9, and grow each year to be open to Years 7-13 by 2030.
What curriculum will the school follow?
We are applying to become registered with an international curriculum provider that is recognised by universities and employers worldwide. This curriculum offers a wide range of subjects and a well-structured, yet flexible learning pathway through a skills based approach to teaching and learning. We will also incorporate Te Mātaiaho | the refreshed NZ curriculum from Year 7-9.
What hours will the school be open?
We will follow a regular school day and term dates.
School hours are 8.30am - 3.00pm.

Term 1: 10 February - 11 April
Term 2: 28 April - 27 June
Term 3: 14 July - 19 September
Term 4: 6 October - 18 December
Will there be a uniform?
We don't intend to have a school uniform, however we will have sports tees and jackets for off-site excursions and events.
Will the school have an enrolment zone?
No. Applications are welcome from all students, but priority will be given to those who are Mangawhai-based.
How can we support the school?
If you have any expertise that may be of support to the Trust in the school's establishment phase, we would love to hear from you. (e.g. IT, building, environmental planning, equipment donations, fundraising support...)
